Why Directory Submissions Are No Longer Getting Traffic????????

Most of the time it was believed that the directory submissions will provide the high page rank and traffic juice to webmasters. But that kind of beliefs are no longer stays.

And especially in terms of free directory submission, the hope of getting back link juice and direct traffic is almost zero (That may vary in terms of numbers).

In my personnel experience I came to know that the sites that are accepting the free submissions in terms of getting back links are cheating the webmasters miserably by the way of including into their database some times even they are not considering the inclusion. of free submissions.

Apart from that kind of approach by the directories some other points have given below, why i am telling that the directory submissions are no longer getting traffic.

Not Having Enough Traffic:

The directory that the webmaster itself not getting enough traffic , only the webmasters are constantly viewing their sites while the real end users only uses the major search engines.

Listing Pages Are Not Indexed:

Considering the main page of the directories, the listing pages are not frequently indexed or some times zero indexed. Then what remaining for webmasters if it is not cached, nothing.

More Outbound Links In Directory Listings:

Links are provided by directories contains , placed with more out bound links of actual listings, premium listings, advertisements and etc.

When the listings are placed, the page may consist more than 50 outbound links means just calculate the page rank remaining for the webmaster.

Non SEO Friendly Listings:

Most of the directories don’t use SEO friendly directory design for listing, the listings are placed in dynamic URL s, that are not even indexed.

Low Page Rank:

Seriously the listing pages of the directory is doesn’t have enough page rank , some times the main page of the directory itself also the same.

Ok .Lets gets over, how I can select a directory for getting back link.
